Subaru World Freeskiing Tour

The Canadian Freeskiing Championships
are coming to Revelstoke Mountain Resort as part of the
World Freeskiing Tour. As the only stop this year in
Canada, the FWT features the world's best big mountain
athletes that will be pushing the sport to new levels.
It will be showcasing some of RMR's most spectacular
terrain including high alpine bowls, chutes, cliffs and
gladed features that will push even the most veteran

The annual Revy Rail Jam will be held
in mid-March in Grizzly Plaza (date TBD). Come out and
see the Groms, Amateurs, and Pros battle it out for swag
and cash prizes.

Grizzly Plaza Street Entertainment
Every night starting the
last week in June to the last week in August 2012
Every evening all summer long you can
enjoy free live entertainment in Grizzly Plaza. Starting
the last week in June through the last week of August,
come out and see live bands, theatrical productions,
magic acts, and more in the heart of Revelstoke's
historic downtown. This event is sponsored by the City
of Revelstoke and presented by the Revelstoke Arts
Council.

Revelstoke Glacier Challenge

The 25nd Annual Revelstoke Glacier Challenge mixed slowpitch tournament, hosting 140 teams, is home to
great ball games, delicious food, beer gardens, and lots
of live music and dancing! Pick up your wristband on
Friday night and enjoy the festivities all weekend long.

Railway Days
August 16-19 2012
Packed with railway related events and
activities, this festival has become a favourite of
‘railfans’ and general tourists alike as it offers
something of interest for everyone and celebrates the
region’s rich railway heritage! This year's Railway Days
will include model railroad layouts, Speeder rides,
Railway Witnesses exhibit, a dinner with special guest:
Robert Turner, a kick-off BBQ, a heritage panel tour,
coffee in the business car, a cemetery tour, a vintage
railway film night, a car show and a family day. Family
Day includes various fun activities such as Puffer Belly
rides, Wedge snow plow tours, food, face painting,
popcorn, cotton candy, musical performances by the
Kettle Valley Brakemen and much more! The Railway Days
Dinner will have musical performances by Cats and the
Fiddle and will feature an illustrated talk by Robert
Turner, author and Curator Emeritus at the BC Royal
Museum. There will be free admission to the Railway
Museum for the entire duration of the four day festival!

Timber Days July 2012
Visit Revelstoke during our world
class "Timber Days" competition celebrating our
community's logging heritage!
These two days are packed with family fun for all ages
including community and kids events as well as logging
sports events. Community and kids events include a berry
cook-off with various categories including a pie gobble
competition afterwards, a kid's only garage sale, food
fair, educational and equipment displays, and kids
activities.
Professional logging sports events include pole
climbing, obstacle pole buck, choker race, axe throw,
crosscut saw events, chainsaw events, and chopping
events. Don't miss out on this fun filled event!
Professional competitors are coming from around BC, the
United Sates, and New Zealand, and with over $10,000 in
prize monies to be won, this is a must see this summer!
